Glen Burtnik News
Image: Glen BurtnikGlen will be recreating The Beatles' REVOLVER album (plus other Beatles favorites) with a 30 voice choir, 20 piece orchestra, sitar, tabla and 7 piece rhythm section in Mount Olive, New Jersey on Saturday 29 October. For more info Click Here.
He's also happy to announce his new recording, THE TROUBLE WITH SALLY, will be released soon on CDBaby and iTunes.

Surgery For Phil
It's now looking likely that Phil will be having surgery on Friday following his injury in Uruguay, providing the swelling goes down in time. The surgery he requires is to pin the broken bits of fibula together and all this will result in a 48 hour stay over in hospital. His consultant will not allow him to Image: Phil Batesfly or work for several weeks while it heals and without the surgery his long term ability to walk properly and stay on his feet will be compromised, partly because of the seriousness of the injury and partly because of previous damage. Phil sends his apologies to the fans as he won't be on the East European tour and wishes the guys all the best. Former ELO Part II/Orchestra member Parthenon Huxley will be stepping in for Phil for the tour. We wish Phil a speedy recovery.
Update 22/10/11: Unfortunately the swelling hadn't gone done sufficiently for the operation to take place so Phil is still waiting.

Exclusive From Eric On Events In Uruguay...
We were about to leave the hotel to go do the first gig at the Conrad Hotel and Casino in Punte Del Este, Uruguay. Phil was walking down some steps, and the light in the stairwell was not good, there was a step that was hard to see, and he was carrying his bag and clothes...he stumbled on the stairs, and his ankle went completely sideways...so, we cancelled the first gig, went to the hospital...where you see him with his cast (see photo below)...and then, the trooper that he was, he carried on as if nothing happened! Well, almost...he did have to sit in a chair for the next two concerts. He's now back in the UK getting treatment for his ankle. However, Phil will not come to Epcot to do the shows there, Parthenon will be playing guitar! Anyway, it was a interesting trip to South America, that we won't soon forget! the other shot is backstage at the Conrad, the day after Phil broke his ankle (see photo below), just before we were going on...
